Membership
The collections of the ACHS have been of great interest to scholars, librarians, historians and researchers. Today, the Societys membership is represented in all parts of the world. It consists of people of all faiths and has no restrictions on race, religion or national origin.
Members of the society will have access to vast collections of books, papers, manuscripts, periodicals and artifacts relating to American Catholic history and the Catholic Church in the United States.
Members are welcome to attend monthly Board of Managers meetings as well as periodic lectures by prominent scholars, historians, clergymen and other influential Catholics.
Members also receive the journal of the American Catholic Historical Society, "American Catholic Studies." Subscribed to by nearly every university library in the nation, "American Catholic Studies" is the preeminent periodical on Catholics in America. Published since 1887, it has provided researchers and students with interesting and otherwise unpublished historical material and source matter, often unavailable elsewhere.
The Society is a non-profit organization as described under Code 501-C-3 of the Internal Revenue Service. All contributions are tax-deductible.
